An angel, who gave me a lift

It was the first day of the school year and on this day I had to do my exam in German. Actually, my future depended on this exam, but I couldnˋt know that. I had planed my time accurately and went to the bus-stop very early, because I didnˋt want to miss my exam. The rules were very clear - I had to be on time for the beginning otherwise I wouldnˋt be allowed to take it. Unfortunately, when the bus came it was so full of people that I couldnˋt get in. I thought that I still had enough time, because I had a plan B - to take the next bus. What was my surprise when I saw that the second bus was crowded also! I went bananas!

There was no more time and I realized that if I couldnˋt catch the train, I would miss my exam. Totally desperate, I tried to stop a car on the street and to explain my situation. I will never forget this moment when the driver of the third car said to me: „Come in.“ He drove me to the train station on time! We didnˋt have time to say goodbye and I didnˋt know either his name or his phone number… For me this man was an angel. Now, ten years later, Iˋm a German teacher.
